The documentary series for ZDF focuses on former Bayern professionals such as Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Mehmet Scholl, Mario Basler, Stefan Effenberg, Thomas Strunz, Thomas Helmer and Andreas Herzog, some of whom give their account of these turbulent times for the first time. In addition, there are exclusive interviews with journalists such as Reinhold Beckmann, Patrizia Riekel and Marcel Reif, who take viewers back to this era just as directly as previously unseen archive material.
